Brave little blue tit by rosiekind

Brave little blue tit

As I looked out of the kitchen window, I saw this young great spotted woodpecker and a blue tit near/on the suet block. I thought the blue tit was quite brave when you see the size of the woodpecker's beak but he didn't seem to be bothered. The reason I thought this was a young woodpecker was because he didn't seem to know how to hang on the feeder to eat the suet. We have had lots of young woodpeckers over the year and as it's been a good breeding year for the birds, I am glad that they have been successful too.

Today's baking was lemon and blueberry muffins. I seem to make these about twice a week as they are just so yummy. However, I stepped on the bathroom scales this morning and I have put on a couple of pounds. I'm not sure what I can cut out to allow me to eat the muffins!

Thank you for getting yesterday's bunny on PP and for all your kind comments and Favs. It is always much appreciated.
That's lovely...feeding side by side. Plenty for everyone!
