Mistle Thrush by rosiekind

Mistle Thrush

I think it's a mistle but it could be a song thrush. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I am never sure with thrushes. I managed to catch her on the fence before she came onto the bird table which I think is a first for her! I've never seen her on the birdtable before so hopefully she will be a regular visitor. There are a pair of them that usually come and feed from the sundial in the front garden as it's usually quieter although the birds are beginning to catch on to the fact that there is lots of food at the front as well as the back. The starlings have even managed to get into the meal worm feeder which has a lid and is only supposed to allow small birds in!
Very nice shot, think you might be right with Mistle Thrush, think the Song thrush markings look more arrow head and more down the chest area .

Whichever thrush it is, it's a stunning shot. We were at the garden centre yesterday but I had no luck photographing birds. They fly off when they see me coming!

I like his lovely tummy! Can you post a picture of a meal worm feeder as I just put them out on the bird table and they disappear in minutes. I don't know what to look for.
