Foraging around

These were all taken with my bridge camera today as I haven't had much time. I had to go to Biggleswade this morning to do some banking only to be told by phone later in the day that the transfer I was trying to do couldn't be done! Oh well, I did at least buy my seed potatoes so all was not lost. I'm never sure what type of new potatoes to buy so have bought Foremost this year. I can't remember what they are like but I know I've grown them before. At least I hope they don't go to mush when they are boiled which happened to some I grew the year before last. I love new potatoes straight out of the garden and I've put the manure on so they should be good this year. This blackbird was foraging around where they will be grown. The foil tray laying on the ground was put there originally (tied to a stick) to frighten the pigeons away from eating the peas but I've decided peas just aren't worth the bother as they never seem to do well for some reason despite covering them with nets

Not only have we both taken a photo of a blackbird today! But I too can never remember what potatoes I grew the year before. I like the way he is looking round at you.
