This was taken on the market in Cambridge this morning. I went to ask advice about a lens I've been interested in that belongs to a friend who is selling it because her husband has died. I now wonder whether the lens is not working because it has been stored in the loft and may be suffering from changes in temperature and hence moisture! He did say about locking the aperture ring at f22 which I'm sure I had done. I know that I had done this with the 35mm lens but can't honestly remember whether I did for the 80-400mm lens. Anyway, I must have a look and see how much the lens costs and maybe buy a new one if I find it doesn't work. Shame I haven't still got the lens to try and I should have taken it with me. Nobody had the 400mm lens in Cambridge so I would have to buy it on line anyway.
