Such a tiny little bird flitting through the tree with a mate outside my kitchen door. I decided to take some shots through the kitchen door which was closed and I couldn't believe it when Steve came crashing through knocking the door straight into my lens. Thank goodness the lens didn't suffer! Phew
Do not think it is a garden warbler, garden warblers are just plain grey brown bird with no striking features. I think this might be a Willow Warbler ( though it could be a chiffchaff) it as a distinct supercilium, dark lore and eye stripe also lack of lower white eye ring. A grey tone to the ear covert with a ligher check patch, though the harsh light is not helping to show these feature up. Yellowish colour to the throat and breast and whiter on the belly. These features lead me to think this is a Willow Warbler. Have you heard it sing?
@esox I didn't hear it sing unfortunately but I think you could be right. I find it hard to distinguish between all the warblers. There were a pair of them so I was pleased to see them in the tree.
