The greenfinches are back

I was pleased to see this little fellow on the feeder as greenfinches succumbed to a disease and their numbers have dwindled as a result.

I saw my first swallow yesterday but forgot to say that and I didn't manage to get a shot as he was flying about very rapidly!

Oh how I wished we still had green finches in our garden......we haven't had any for three years now in spite of putting out Niger seeds. We haven't seen any swallows yet!
