One of our robins decided to let me take a shot as he was eating his breakfast. The blue tits in the nest box are getting much bigger and have all their feathers now. Two of the bigger ones seem to keep testing their wings out flapping about in the box and I don't think it will be long before they leave the nest. 9 days ago they had no feathers and it's amazing how quickly they have grown! The parents have been kept very busy.
I have just had a baby starling in my hand as he somehow got into the conservatory and got in a terrible panic because he couldn't find his way out. It was so lovely to pick him up although he cried rather loudly for his mummy.
A gorgeous shot. The birds are so well fed. Glad you were able to catch the starling. Birds get in such a panic when they end up inside the house don't they. Although having said that we once had a rainbow lorikeet fly in our house and landed on the dish drainer in the kitchen. I just carried the drainer outside with the bird sitting in it and he just sat there and watched me and then once outside very calmly flew off.
