DSC_2919 I can't remember what this is

This is another photo from a trip to Shuttleworth quite a while ago (I didn't realise that it's from September 2013!). This old plane was an amazing sight and I can't imagine flying in such a contraption.

Lovely capture Rosie. its a repleca of an Roe IV Triplane designed and built by Alliott Verdon Roe (known as AVRO) the original first flew in 1910:)

@pcoulson As soon as I saw Avro I remembered that it is exactly that. This is the genuine article and is one of the very few remaining. Thanks for your ID. It was a long time since I took this photo and I had forgotten what it was
