I was a bit puzzled this morning because I saw 3 blue tits near the camera nest box and one hopped onto the entrance and peered in. Just after they flew away this little fellow popped his head out. I think they must have been investigating to see where they could keep warm at night. I hope they roost in the nest box because it's better than roosting in a hedge. At least it's nice and warm inside and away from the wind.
@ludwigsdiana We have had several broods of chicks over the years and I have watched them grow up before finally fleeing the nest. It’s lovely to watch the parents feeding them and 7 birds fledged this year
