Grebe

I think this is a type of grebe but I'm not terribly good at identifying water fowl. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I've looked in the RSPB bird book and it could be a crested grebe because it definitely has a little topknot. Anyway, if you know differently, please let me know. I miss Mark as he always used to put me right on these things. Come back Mark and help me out!

I would say it is a great crested grebe, see these a lot when fishing but never get a good shot as this one though.

@esox Yes I thought it was a great crested grebe too so we must be right! There are one or two of them around the waters in Bedford

They're very shy birds and if there's two,watch out for them in the spring when they do a mating dance. It is beautiful.
