These buds are tasty

This little sparrow looks as though he's eating the buds from this tree. I don't know why they do this but expect there must be something tasty about them. It's a wonder any tree has leaves if they eat the buds!

@mejbronant @fivealive @mariasdz @carolmw @hudd @busylady @kbuehl Thanks everyone. I had a look to see whether birds peck the buds and it looks as though it's quite common and sometimes they just do it not because they eat them but they just peck them anyway.
