I haven't seen a cormorant over by the lakes for weeks but today I saw this one - all alone. The floods have dried up and the path is now passable without wellie boots! I've walked a long way today. According to my pedometer 4.8 miles which is the furthest I've walked for ages. I took my time and the total was due to a bit of a walk to the meeting in Bedford this morning as I had to park in a multi-storey car park which was some distance away but I needed to park somewhere for more than 2 hours!
I love cormorants. I was at the Royal docks in London recently and was surprised to see lots of cormorants on the Thames there. This is a great capture of a very dramatic bird
