This male house sparrow was clinging on under the eaves of the pub which at the moment is shut. The Landlord has moved out and I think a builder has moved in. I cannot help but think that he is not bothering to open because he wants to run the pub down so that he can build houses on the land. Cynical or what?
It used to be that when all around was being laid waste and redeveloped, the pub was the one thing left standing. Let's hope it will prove to be the case here! Nice photo of the sparrow - sadly they are in very short supply.
