This is the first peony that has flowered in our garden. It is actually in a pot outside the front door and I love the bright colour. It was a cutting from others that are planted in the rockery. They are usually a sign of summer. However, I have just heard on the news that this is the coldest spring for 50 years and I can well believe it. I discovered this morning when I came downstairs that we have a leaking radiator in our hall and the carpet is sodden. There is always something but fortunately Steve is good at isolating it and can do plumbing! He's a handy chap to have
