My walk along Wood Lane was cut short today by rain! However, it didn't really get as bad as I thought it would. Steve told me that the RSPCA had been down there looking at the chestnut mare in the field as someone else had reported concerns. He told the inspector about my concerns at Christmas and also the fact I was worried that she didn't look as though she was fed enough as she is very thin - you can see her ribs! The Inspector has found a few things wrong and told Steve that she will be recommending that she receives vets treatment. I'm glad that something might now be done to help her before the winter comes.
