This plane came in from RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire. I wish you could hear the sound of the engines - it was a real throb! The sound of all the different engines at the air show was fantastic. I don't think I expected to be so impressed but I really enjoyed it so you might find some more pics in my Even More album over the next few days. Well I did take 854 pics but have managed to delete quite a few. I find it hard deleting photos.
Thanks for the memory. The sky was thick with these great transport aircraft during the D-Day invasion and many if them were used by commercial freight-carrying airlines for at least a decade after the war. Such memories .. . .
