Mobbing the cormorant by rosiekind

Mobbing the cormorant

The gulls then proceeded to mob a cormorant that was on the lake. He eventually flew off. It's amazing how tetchy the birds are at the moment. Perhaps the gulls were rather jealous that the cormorant is such a good fisher! However, they didn't seem bothered by the heron who also flew in and sat on one of the buoys in the middle of the lake. Perhaps they thought he was too big and had too big a beak to tackle him! I found it difficult to choose which pics to post today as I must admit I got quite a few good ones. Perhaps I might post some of the others when I need a filler.
Great capture!! Rosie and I saw cormorants today, too.

Wonderful capture, Rosie. Can I ask if you shot this in aperture priority or shutter priority or something else? Thanks.

@yonnie I shoot nearly all my pics on manual settings and this was shot on 1/320 shutter speed, f7.1 and ISO 200. If you look at the Exif Info on the right hand side of the picture, you will see all the settings I use on my pics apart from collages for obvious reasons. Thank you as ever for looking at my pics and for your comments and Favs
