I've had a bit of a mix up with my pics as I've shot in RAW as well as JPEG because everyone at the camera club keeps harping on about how everything is better in RAW as you can do so much more with it. That's OK if you know what you are doing but I don't! Anyway, I'm lucky enough to have 2 memory card slots in my camera and I can shoot jpegs on one and RAW on the other but I got a bit muddled up and I have to use Elements to download the RAW files. Oh it's so confusing and it took me a while to find the jpegs that at least I can upload here without messing about with them (i.e. editing). Next week a chap from the camera club is going to give me a 2.5 hr tutorial on how to edit in Elements so watch this space!
Well done, it's a lovely autumn photo. I know what you mean about being confusing. We did a bit about RAW on our photography course in March but most of it went over my head.
Love the way this is framed off-centre. Raw takes up too much of my tiny memory (on my laptop!) so while I could do more with the images...I'd have to delete so much more...swings and roundabouts I suppose!
Great shot and enjoy your tutorial, I shoot exclusively in RAW and it can be a bit daunting but it can make the difference in saving a shot when your exposure is off.
Lovely scene. I use RAW only...though I don't edit very much. At first all I would do was crop and/or add my name to the photo and save as a jpeg. Now I do a bit more but still am a novice at it all.
Do you find much difference between those shots in RAW vs jpeg when you download them?
