This old boat stands in someone's garden down Wood Lane. I pass it every time I walk along there. It was freezing cold with the wind whipping across the fields. It was so cold I had to put my hood up on my parka and of course you can't hear the birds then so you don't know where they are. Not good for bird photography. I did get some pics of a greenfinch but they weren't terribly good and although I did see and hear a few birds, they were quite elusive today. I'm not really surprised as they needed to be within the shelter of the non existent bushes. The farmers are doing a terrible disservice to the birds by hacking down the hedges. I hope they experience soil erosion and then they might consider replanting the hedges!
