Female blackcap

These birds are usually found in woodland and open countryside and not usually found in gardens. I was so surprised to see her on the bird table. Perhaps she had heard that I've joined RSPB and thought she would visit to see what I'm like! LOL I've only ever seen a male once before so I was absolutely thrilled to see her. This was taken through the kitchen window

Lovely shot, I have had a pair of these for the last few winters and once they stayed through the summer, but not seen them this year yet.
