This was taken today. It is a barometer which belonged to my Dad. He was given it by the Congregational Church in Roxton where he was organist, secretary and treasurer. He did a lot for the church in a small village as he grew up there. My father was a friend to everyone and would have helped wherever he could. When we moved to Bedford, he was loved by the children and their mums as they passed our bungalow on the way to school as he was always in the garden and would speak to anyone. He died in my garden in 1992 and I still miss him. He was a really wonderful father and everyone loved him including me.
What a lovely piece of history. He sounds like a lovely man. I'm an amateur organist too! We will get together when we get back and see if we can inspire Steve with our tales and adventures!
