I was thinking about my Mum who died in November 2011 and I've been looking through some old photos on a flash drive when I came across this one which I've never posted on 365. This was taken a month before her 90th birthday when we went to her favourite place for lunch - the Horse & Jockey at Ravensden. Everyone there knew her by name as she took us out for lunch quite often. She really enjoyed going there and it was lovely to have all the family together. However, I think this was one occasion when we took her (well we always drove her) but she actually let us pay for a change. She was a wonderful mother and I still miss her.
I think the date on my camera must have been wrong or maybe it was right but I saved it later because when I looked at this it said 18 August 2009.
A wonderful portrait Rosie - one to treasure as it reminds you of such happy times. Lovely to see her here so bright and alert. Sadly the last few years of my mum's life she had dementia which was heartbreaking. Such a lovely shot worthy of printing and framing.
