One of my clients lives in the close facing Elstow Abbey so how could I resist a shot.
Bless her heart, she is 80 something and having problems with Scottish Power again. I wrote a letter of complaint last year to the CEO and today I've had to contact them again because they are messing up her bills. She is disabled, on a very low income and was so much in credit that they didn't take any money for a couple of months. They wrote to her in March and said that they were going to reduce her payments by a third but in April took a bit more than they quoted but since then have been taking £90 per month back to the original amount. I spoke to them on the phone and told them that they were in breach of the direct debit guarantee but the people you speak to are useless! She is supposed to be on the Priority Service Register which means that they have to send her a meter reader every quarter but they have failed to do so and estimate her bills. Anyway, they have arranged a date to read the meters and then will revise her bill accordingly. However, the March figure was based upon her usage last year so I don't think they know what they're talking about! I get so cross with these companies so I've written a letter of complaint to the CEO again and ended it by saying that they didn't bother to acknowledge my last letter but I did get an acknowledgement from David Cameron even though he couldn't do anything! Rant over
Lovely building. Your client is lucky to have you to help her out. It annoys me when big businesses bully people like this who can't stick up for themselves.
Great shot, nice composition...... the last time I photographed this church it was pouring with rain & very grey...... this shot looks lovely against the blue sky
