I've seen all sorts of young birds today on my walk, young crows (who weren't very experienced at flying), about 4 or 5 lapwings flew by as well as this thrush. I think it's young simply because it is pale in colour but I'm not totally sure as it didn't seem fluffy like the one I've seen in our garden.
@dolphin I risked taking Big Bertha out with me today - it's a Nikon 80-400mm 4.5-5.6. It's heavy and I used my D7100 today and I've only used Big Bertha twice now since I came back from Bavaria in April. My arm still hurts but it does anyway whether I use it or not so I just had to use it rather than leave it sitting in the camera bag
I love the thrush, sad,y we rarely see it these days up here in Lancashire. The bird song is wonderful at the moment don't you find....the birds are happy to see the sun!
