I'm not sure of the species so would be grateful if anyone knows. I thought they were shelduck but after looking in my bird books, I don't think they are because the bird on the left (who I think is the male) doesn't have a chestnut band around his tummy although there are chestnut tones on his neck and wing. I saw them both at Priory Country Park but I didn't stay long as it was freeeeeeeeezing!
