I pointed my camera over the fields towards Dovecote Lake and saw red bottomed sheep in the field. When the ram has done his job, the sheep are left with coloured fur to show that they are in lamb.
@rickster549 A colour is applied to the rams chest which is then transferred to the ewes bottom to notify the farmer that the ewe has been tipped (mated). It's called raddle.
