I don't know what this little wren was doing on Bluey's perch but I was very frustrated while sitting by the brook as I seemed to point my camera at the wrong things at the wrong time. I think I saw a juvenile kingfisher preening on an overhanging reed so after seeing the little bird there a couple of times, I decided to focus my camera there. Of course, no sooner had I done that than the kingfisher perched on his usual perch and again, I thought it was a juvenile by the behaviour it was displaying. It spent about 10 minutes on the perch, several times heading towards the nest before falling rather clumsily to the bottom of the perch and there was a lot of fluttering of wings! Oh well, you can't win them all and I was glad when "Hide Man" cleared off soon after I got there after parking his car in an awkward way to try to stop me arriving. Well he failed! There's always another day!
I hope you manage to catch the fledgling on another day. I am sure your patience and frequent visits will pay off. And, there are worse things than photographing a lovely little wren.
