There are plums, sloes, blackberries and hawtorne berries along Wood Lane and it seems really early to have all these ripe and ready to eat. Despite having all this to eat in the hedgerows, the birds still seem to like my food although I only get a couple of blackbirds in the garden at one time and they love fruit.
