This lovely little cottage featured very much in my life when I was a little girl. The lady who lived there had a canary in a round cage and I used to go round to visit her. I don't know who lives there now but it was a trip down memory lane this afternoon. I visited the cottage where I was born and bred and met the people who now own it. They told me about a couple of things they have done to it but unfortunately, didn't invite me in to have a look which is what I was hoping. Perhaps it's best to remember it as it was as I have such happy memories there.
It is fascinating to read about your connection with this cottage Rosie. It is quite a prominent feature. We visited the chapel there recently on a walk. Most unusual.
@helenhall I entered a photo of the chapel in the Beds and Herts historic churches competition and they are going to use it to make a postcard. My family were very involved with the chapel when we lived there and my father was the organist, secretary and treasurer
@rosiekind oh how interesting. It is such a fascinating structure. We saw that it was still in use as a chapel too. Well done for getting your photo onto a post card. What a lovely story.
What memories that must have definitely stirred in you. Cute little house. I had a chance to go into the house I my parents built, and I lived in for the first 10 years of my life about 12 years ago. Hadn't changed much except they had taken out the massive and tall swing m Dad constructed for my brother and me.. I was sorry to see that.
Such a cute little house, amazing that it is also lived in! I always dream of going back inside a house I lived in but maybe it is really better that we don't.
