Eyam Hall by rumpelstiltskin

Eyam Hall

Eyam is known as the "plague village" because during an outbreak of the Black Death in 1665, the villagers all agreed not to leave the village, effectively quarantining themselves in order to stop the infection spreading to other villages. It is said that around 80 out of 350 inhabitants survived. Eyam Hall was built for the Wright family the decade after the plague.
Looks like a lovely place to visit
