Eastbourne Pier by rumpelstiltskin

Eastbourne Pier

An overcast day, and yet Eastbourne still looks inviting. Perhaps it's just me - I quite like coastal resorts when it's cold and out of season. Eastbourne holds a special affection, as we used to have family holidays here when I was very young. I don't remember much, apart from staying at my aunt's house, and the glass blower and slot machines on the pier.
Nice composition and focus.

It's a lovely, nostalgic shot. I always find visits to such places quite sad - faded glory...

I just love this shot. It's moody, windy, subtly coloured and looks like a real November day at the seaside. (yes I know it's still October). The leading diagonal line of the shore-line takes the eye to the pier nicely.

Great colors and layers. Love sea shots!
