Lumiere London took place this weekend; it is a light festival with around 50 installations on display across the capital. This work is called Flamingo Flyaway, and was created by the Lantern Company. It references international migration by birds, and in doing so draws a parallel with worldwide human migration. All very appropriate given that the flamingoes were being paraded across Chinatown, and were celebrated by London's diverse residents and visitors.
