The Queen's Gallery by rumpelstiltskin

The Queen's Gallery

I had a fabulous time on Sunday visiting the Charles I exhibition at the Royal Academy, followed by the Charles II exhibition at the Queen's Gallery. It was incredible to see the works in both Kings' art collections.
Very nice composition in this one

Interesting to see the paintings they had chosen. However, there wasn't much choice in those days, I guess.

I wonder what your opinion of the colour of the gallery walls is/was.

@octogenarian It is a bright and vivid red, but I like it! It seems to be a popular choice in galleries, as the Wallace Collection has a similar colour damask in the Great Gallery: https://365project.org/rumpelstiltskin/365/2017-12-29

@rumpelstiltskin I remember your previous photo, and was wondering even then. It seems to be a popular choice, as you say. - For the time being. :)
