I was visiting the local pond when this male mallard jumped out of the water and approached me. Another couple of mallards joined him - I think they were hoping to be fed.
I love the focus with the yellow bill drawing my attention to his dark eyes. :-) I don't think I've ever seen a mallard from this particular perspective before.
@bernicrumb thanks for the follow Bernie! To be honest, I hadn’t seen a mallard at this angle before, either! I was lucky that I had my camera with me.
