The Great Screen, Winchester Cathedral

The Great Screen was completed in 1476, but was destroyed as part of the dissolution of the monasteries under Henry VIII. It was restored in the late nineteenth century as a tribute to the late Archdeacon of Winchester, Philip Jacob.
