This bird stayed on the branch quite a long time (around 20 minutes), just looking out over the surrounding area. Obviously, quite a comfy perch.

This is really good. It is sometimes so hard to get a good focus on birds. I guess deciduous trees help a bit, but they are still difficult.

@swilde I think it may have helped that I used my zoom to the max, so it was completely unaware I was taking shots of it (that and it had its back turned :P)
