It's a battlefield out there

The battle for Middle-lawn continues. The fiercesome daisy army attacks the dandelion stronghold with superior tactical strength in numbers. As a war lawn correspondent, I placed myself at great personal risk of uneven sunburn to capture this historical event.

Nb - I recommend not using the magnifier, not only is the photo terrible, the carnage is too.
This absolutely cracked me up!! Love the caption for this one.

I did not know you were a war lawn correspondent. You're like an enigma wrapped in a fascinating mystery.

LOL, loved your story! We have similar battles on out front lawn, and we usually lose to this wiry yellow weed that has the amazing ability to lie down for the mower and then pop up a few hours later. :-)

You got to give it to them, they are trying

Go, the daisies, go!

Love it! You can never rule out those dandelions, but it looks like the daisies have it.

Mat, that's what I call grass-roots reporting :P Great little story.

@5unflow3r Glad it's not just my daisies and dandelions that have "mower avoidance technology." I swear they hear me coming, hide and then re-surface when I've finished the rest of the lawn.

M, you are nuttier than peanut butter. You may be the only person I know who resembles Peanut butter, but does not actually EAT peanut butter.
