In too jeep

I've no idea why Bekki doesn't like this jeep!

Well, actually, I do know. We went to a local DIY store and I saw this jeep transfer parked in the bargain bins. Instantly it said to me, "Don't leave me here sir, I'd be ideal for your bathroom." I knew it was full of misleading US bathroom propaganda. Still, it was reduced from around £5 to 50p and the sir bit was full of old fashioned politeness, so I thought I'd get it to see how well these wall transfers worked. It was so cheap it was practically a giveaway. Anyway, it's quite large, camouflage green and eventually I adhered the transfer onto a blank wall in the bathroom after much careful deliberation as to whether it should be positioned near the window, coyly to the side or slap-bang in the middle of the wall. Middle of the wall seemed to be ideal. Yes, it was like the A Team had come home.

Suprisingly, Bekki hated it. She hated it at first glance, and at second glance, actually every glance and I said I'd remove it after a short while. Somehow, its still remained up in place. In a way, I secretly admire the ruggedness of the design, the boldness and the novelty (as it's not something I'd generally put up for more than a year)

Mysteriously, it began to peel 'on its own' after just a few days in random areas while Bekki was here. Very strange for a military product. I suspect there was sabotage involved. There's no doubt that it'll be gone at some future point, so this is essentially a record of its passing existence.
I wouldn't know why either. I think it would be quite the ride.

Oh I quite like this but I can see that it would probably be more a mans picture !! I wouldn't care for it in my house if it was a gaudy colour but those tones suit it well !!

@happypat It was a bit of a joke, Pat. I saw it in a bargain bin at B&Q for 50p (reduced from £5ish) and I wanted to see how these transfers worked. Anyway, I put it up, Bekki hated it and I said I'd only keep it up a short while, but it's still up to this day. Luckily, it removes easily, yet I quite like it in its way.

@happypat Oh it's quite a hideous green color! M has used sepia here so it looks innocent when in fact it screams "I am Green"

I'm intrigued by the fact that someone designed and made a jeep wall transfer! Who was their target consumer I wonder... Did they think "a MUST for every bathroom!" I love how some things that are meant to be transitory end up hanging around for much longer. "Can kitty stay, pleeease, JUST until we find her a home?"...

@tonje It's not meant to be for a bathroom, Tonje, it's for a boy's bedroom or garage or something along those lines I guess.

@nectarfizz I think I'm going to have to take your side on this one. That is quite a large, erm, thing to put up in the bathroom. Right now it looks like it's driving with one bright light on!

I'm siding with Bekki on this one! Maybe this mural would have been better suited for a garage wall?

Well, I can see why Bekki might have "accidentally" peeled off a bit of the transfer. But, I like it. It's so different, and I dig Jeeps, and it's something I would put up too. Which Paul would immediately lose his sh*t about, lol
