Merry Fishmass

~ An awkward Christmas card.

One of the not so successful cards from the Victorian era. It never sold well, not openly anyhow. Queen Victoria had it banned for indecency. But what's not to love about a mermaid juggling her globes (should have been bokeh) on top of a tree?

This is a distant, illuminated tree I spotted while out walking and decided to edit (mess around with) Yes, I know what you're thinking, "It doesn't get much better than this!" or something along those lines. ::cough::
Very cool shot and an interesting story.

@mittens @digitalrn Just a bit of quirkiness instead of another bokeh shot. :)

Wild - and well edited. Not surprised Queen Victoria banned it. She'd probably seen herself in the mirror that morning and thought 'I'm not going to be upstaged by a Christmas card!'

Your fish must be SO pleased they ended up in your place! Who else reveres the humble fin in such a way. I love the glitzy sparkle and spoofiness of this!
