Mr Ted performs his (let's say limited) mug balancing act in honour of the silent movie stars of yesteryear and when nobody notices or gives a damn, throws a massive hissy fit (aka the dying fly maneuver) on the table. Afterwards, he muttered something about Chaplin never having had this problem of recognition.
