I'm not sure about this one, so I've hesitated posting it. I'm trying to get to grips with the narrow depth of field on my 35mm. Interestingly, at the back of the boat there's a shadow of the paddler as if he is standing up punting gondola-style, when he was really sitting down (a little weird, but there you go)
I like focus on the point of the bow, which looks like a face to me. Maybe it's not....? The shadow's cool too, particularly due to the sitting-standing trickery that you mentioned.
