Wild, Easter daffodils by sabresun

Wild, Easter daffodils

On Sunday, I found these wild daffodils while walking early in the morning upon Cannock Chase. They were hidden in a little dell, and they're quite pretty don't you think.
This is a gorgeous shot, love the layered yellows.

@mittens @westcoastwallis @digitalrn @skippysue @happypat These layered daffodils, I don't know much about them. Are they a different strain of the regular daffodils that are only seen in the wild? I wondered if anyone might know.

Narcissus pseudonarcissus (commonly known as wild daffodil or Lent lily) is a perennial flowering plant.
This species has pale yellow flowers, with a darker central trumpet. The long, narrow leaves are slightly greyish in colour and rise from the base of the stem. The plant typically grows from a bulb, however, the plants also produces seeds, which when germinated, takes five to seven years to produce a flowering plant. Sexual (seed) reproduction mixes the traits of both parent flowers, producing new varieties.
