Mitchells Pass

The road from Tulbagh to the neighbouring town of Ceres crosses the Witzenberg Mountain. One drives through the gorge. The road was originally built by Andrew Bain in 1846.

@equinoxe I drive this road at least twice a month, thankfully it has a few view sites where one is able to stop but otherwise it is not safe to stop along the road.

@orangecrush I'm standing at a view site barely off the road (I cropped most of it out!). I use this road so often and have admired the view for so long now that I almost forgot what a wonderful photo op it offers!
