Fern Leaf

Was trying for a low key, minimalist effect but I'm not overly happy with the result. I feel the lighting is all wrong.
Any critique will be most welcome!

Very moody! I tried low key last night and this is kinda how mine turned out, not what I had in mind, but still interestin...they do look different when they are in B&W

I like the minimalist composition, and know nothing about low key, but I think I would like just a touch more light.

It's a different perspective and I like the deep colours, however for me it is a little too dark. I agree with Bonnie and Karen H - more light on the leaf would improve it and really make the minimalist composition (which I like) stand out.

Looks cool to me when I view it large. If you think it's too dark, maybe lighten it a little? I like the composition and the shape of the leaf. 8)

It is a bit dark for me- although I do like the angle of the frond.
