Dedicated to my dearest friend Bonnie (@kloud) who lost her fight against cancer yesterday (5 August 2012).
I will forever hold you in my heart. You have been a true friend and a source of great inspiration for many years. I will treasure every memory and see your radiant smile everytime I think of you.
Rest in Peace Bonnie, till we meet again.....
I'm from Tulbagh, Western Cape, South Africa. Tulbagh is a small farming community.
Get Pushed Challenge: I have been doing this challenge on and off...
lovely flower - and wonderful tribute - really sad news - I wasn't a friend or follower, but she was well known on here and her account is still active. I thought it would be nice to see a tribute thread to her photography - like the one for Michael Elliott recently - but feel as if it's not my place to do so. There are so many amazing shots from her.
@shannew@salza - great idea to honor her. Sally, why don't you or Sarah start a thread. Can you tag me if you do? This is such a lovely tribute to a great gal.
Oh, I am so sorry about your friend Bonnie, Sally! I was a follower and a fan of hers! Such sad news! My heart and prayers go out to you and her family!
As a tear slips from my eyes, I go looking for Bonnie's 365 project and find a collection of beautiful photos. She certainly was a talented lady. My condolences and best wishes for you and all who knew her are on their way to you. xxx
Lovely words, Beautiful shot , may your friend rest peacefully she is a truly talented photographer who's images will live forever inside the 365 community.. god bless
Beautiful shot Sally; and what a wonderful tribute to Bonnie. Bonnie's creativity, talent, generosity and spirit continue to inspire me. My heart stopped for a minute when I first read about this tragic loss; I can only imagine how you felt. My thoughts are with you, her friends and family at this difficult time xx
RIP Bonnie. I hope you and Bonnie's family are able to find the strenght you need to pull through this tough time. a great friend is impossible to replace and is sorely missed
@shannew I do remember them. Amy Spada told me Jani had dedicated a picture to Bon but I cannot find it, please can you let me have the links (if you have them)? Thanks
Thank you all for your kind words.
These last few weeks have been quite difficult knowing how ill Bonnie was and feeling totally helpless and unable to do anything to ease her pain. I am just thankful that I was able to share nearly 20 years of my life with her. She has been and will continue to be an inspiration to me. She will be sorely missed not only by me but by all those whose lives she touched.
