My Get pushed Challenge - Jan Hall: I'm going to challenge you to take a photograph/photographs where the main feature is water - it's up to you how you do it - puddle shot/big landscape/ water crown/drips, whatever - you decide. Just try to make it something that you wouldn't normally attempt.
Have seen a few of these around and have wanted to give it a try, so here is my first attempt
I'm from Tulbagh, Western Cape, South Africa. Tulbagh is a small farming community.
Get Pushed Challenge: I have been doing this challenge on and off...
@equinoxe Chris I sort of followed the instructions given by Bobby (@bobbyj) on his picture http://365project.org/bobbyj/365/2012-01-26. I used my 18-55mm lens as I don't have macro lens, extention tubes or macro filters and I used an aperture of f/25 and of course used a tripod as shutter spped is rather slow! My glass is an oven dish resting on plastic storage containers, droplets are a mixture of water and glycerine. Hope this helps.
Love the vibrant colours Sally. Took me a while to work out what was going on there - but now I see the jelly beans. Great shot, and response to the challenge.
great attempt Sally! great choice of subject and colours. I'd recommend using a picture frame glass, as it is much clearer, and if have a hardware store nearby, they usually sell like window cleaners, which help with forming water droplets! Looking forward to more shots!
@bobbyj thanks Bobby, I did try with glass from a frame but it was non reflective glass so the picture in the drops had a haze to it. Will have to get a piece of clear glass!
