Get Pushed Challenge: I have been doing this challenge on and off...
Me neither - well not for hdr. What I meant was ... oh boy, this is difficult without descending into technobabble.
What my programme does is to take three or more files (jpeg thus far) and turn them into an hdr image which is some other format with the capacity to hold a greater depth of information. This file generally looks a bit flat because the monitor can't display the full depth. You then use a tonemapping operator to convert it into something which can be viewed on the monitor and saved as a jpeg. That's where the wild and wacky hdr effects appear if that's what you want ... so what I was wondering was whether this is a jpeg representation of the unmapped hdr.
If you're not confused by that, I am! I could demonstrate what happens though if you'd allow me to download this pic and run it through Luminance.
@automaticslim You are most welcome to download the picture and play with it! I have heard mention of tone mapping but have never delved into it. Guess I should do a tad of research!
Great shot!!!
