I love how the yellow of the canola fields pops out against the mountains. I am so fortunate that I get to experience views like this on a daily basis!

Thos really are impressive mountains, must show this to my Geologist son, he'll love it. The splash of yellow and the beautiful clear blue sky really add to the image.
Beautiful, Sally. I love the way you've captured the horizontal lines of colours sloping up gradually to the mountains - and then the glorious mountains themselves rising up to meet the sky.
You're even more fortunate that you appreciate those views, Sally. I'm finding more and more that people just don't see the beauty around them.
This is beautiful! Yes, you truly are blessed to see them on a regular basis!! I do get jealous from time to time, but then I think there are some beautiful things here too.
@leananiemand This section seldom gets snow although it did get a light sprinkling a few weeks back. Unfortunately due to the low cloud and rain I was unable to get anything worthwhile! There is still snow in the Winterhoek and there is more forecast this coming weekend! Winter needs to leave now, I rather moan about being too hot!!
see, you may not have tall buildings like we do in the city, but you have these mountains, the best thing being the perspectives change all the time. great shot!
