My Garden by salza

My Garden

For One Night Stand (ONS 6) - night photography. Living in a small village with very little night traffic, sunset at after 8pm and I have done precious little night photography. So doing today's challenge posed quite a problem. I decided to experiment with the bulb setting on my camera. This is a 52 second exposure of my garden with only the usual exterior lights on, no extra lighting. Strangely not even the dogs took a stroll around whilst I did this. Would have liked them to so as to get their ghostly impressions!

Great night experiment, Sally. Strange that the dogs should have been so quiet. I have tried for that ghostly effect so often - without success - but I'm slowly starting to get a better understanding of what I need to do.

This came out very nice! I also feel like some night time shot, maybe tonight.

This has a really interesting feel to me- sort of eerie in one way, and sort of peaceful in another. Good experiment and one to revisit when your dogs feel like posing as ghosts!
