Black Rhino by salza

Black Rhino

The sighting of these two rhino made our trip well worth it! These magnificent beasts are being illegally poached. At the rate they are being poached they will soon become extinct. It is very unusual to find two black rhino together as they are solitary animals. We decided that these two are either a mother and her sub adult youngster or they are a breeding pair.

So good to see them in real life, hey ally?! Magical creatures soon to be no more, thanks to the greed of men :P

What an amazing sight that must have been Sally. Magnificent animals although the one in the foreground does look as if he needs a good meal.

WOW, what a great find! So magnificent, although they are downright mean and dangerous...quite different from their cow-like square lipped cousins!

@ericdibosco these two were definitely giving us the serious eye. You certainly don't want to mess with them! Finding these guys was really the highlight of the weekend plus we had a second sighting of them in the afternoon! Both times we were the only vehicle around.
